I hardly review any IT books I buy but this book made me go out of my way to click on the review button to send in a good review on it. The tone in the book is approachable, friendly and human unlike a lot of the other books, which are mostly instructional.The author breaks up concepts into easy to follow exercises and explains concepts clearly with short examples that are to the point.The short exercises provide an advantage in that you can see the results immediately without typing long chunks of code and I think this is an important factor to keep the reader interested in the book.
This book is amazing for beginners! He goes slowly and explains each concept thoroughly so the reader doesn't get confused. Truly loved this book and appreciated the clear and concise explanations. However, keep in mind there are concepts that you will need to go more into depth about. Also, there are a few deprecated methods used in the LifeCycle chapter. However, he does warn you that by the new 17version they will be full deprecated.
I like how-to videos but find books are best to get me grounded, shift my paradigm and tell me why I want to do something rather than jumping into how to do it. This book was very good at doing that. And the author is funny so added bonus.
This is one of the best books to learn React from. It is easy on the eyes with clear and direct examples. Thank you Kirupa Chinnathambi. I have no idea why anyone would rate this book lower than at least four stars.
I've been a backend database programmer for quite some time. Thanks for helping me learn React. It's really good stuff!
The examples in this book are not complicated, However the author introduced important concepts using these simple examples and pictures.
Great book
I bought this ebook two weeks ago and now was able to start reading it. The Kindle formatting of it is horrible! It looks as if pieces of the printed version were copied and pasted into pages and some of the pages had only one or a few lines of code pasted in. This makes it very hard to follow! So, my attempt to start reading it quickly ended. I’m guessing the printed book formatting is fine but DO NOT buy the Kindle version. Unfortunately, I just missed the window for a refund of this ebook.
