This is my favorite ASP.NET MVC book (I have several). I refer to it often and enjoy reading it.
The example (is just one big example which is great) is pretty descriptive, but with some frustrations- The instruction is descriptive rather than prescriptive (tells you what to do, and not really why or what)- Full of typographical errors (usually within the code) - I guess a good example for debugging- Selective use of bold text for code to add. Some areas have code updates in Bold, other areas don't which makes it difficult to see if i'm supposed to be doing something or not.- Section about using ASP.NET Core just starts the project over rather than explaining the differences- Source code can not be extracted properly via direct download - must clone to your own GitHub desktop.
I can't read this book on kindle PC app, the app shut down when try to open. I had a chat with support team, and there is no solution.
I found this in a snippet in a google search. I've only had it a few hours and haven't gone through the whole thing, but it showed me something I had searched high and low for - how to use a foreign key label in a dropdown filter. Looking forward to continuing through the remaining examples and finishing my project. Unlike other reviewers, I haven't seen any typos or errors so far.
This book is a clear and comprehensive guide to .NET MVC. The examples are clear and the instructions easy to follow.At times it is hard to grasp all the new concepts, but the book's author is very carfull in explaining how they work.

This book has multiple typos that make it difficult to follow along. Chapter 6 asks you to update a file, however when comparing the book with the downloadable code, it's the wrong file. I would not recommend this book!
