My only complaint is that I thought there would be more information. About every other page is just a picture with a title of the next page's content. But on the other hand, the pictures are nicely done. I bought it for my son's Ohio History unit for his 4th grade year. I will definitely need to supplement the history portion, as this doesn't cover a lot and focuses more on the geography of the state, symbols and the flag, agriculture, landmarks, etc. Definitely an elementary age book.
I agree with another reviewers comment about this book. Very little information. It's only about 20 pages and half of those are very nice pictures but it isn't nearly enough to do a state report on. Fortunately, I do have the internet and another book called Weird Ohio so that will help with the information.
This was also a very helpful book to me as my class studiedOhio history. It was easily accessible for all my readers andhad amazing photos.
Good info, but the problem is that the entirety of this book is contained in the "Columbus and the State of Ohio: Cool Stuff Every Kid Should Know" book. I ordered both, read this one 1st, and was disappointed to find all the same pages/pics verbatim contained in the other book. Amazon's customer service did me a solid though by refunding my $ and not making me send back the book. In other words, BUY THE OTHER BOOK!
